Looks like an easy week but there are some things to consider:
•Rock Bridge Work Day is Wednesday (today if you’re getting this at work) @ 4:30 pm. We will be spreading mulch, maybe as a warm-up for doing the same task on Saturday May 10 at the Wyatt guest House. Thanks to Robin Calfee for organizing this Community Service event. Please come for an hour or so and bring pitchforks and rakes. The aggregate hours we spend will be credited to our Community Service bank of volunteer hours.
•Dave Machens made it official Friday – he and Marcia and the girls will be moving to Mission KS in mid-June. Dave is a charter member of Rotary South and a past president of the club. For years he has conducted our New Member Orientation, which is focused on making the club stronger with new & committed members. You’ve served the club and the entire Columbia community with distinction, Dave…Service Above Self indeed!!! Thanks for all you’ve done for Rotary South.
•While on the subject of long-serving members, how about Max Dills’ picture in Sunday’s Tribune Snapshots with a golf club in his hand…imagine that! The tournament was a fund-raiser for MedZou, a group of medical students who provide volunteer medical services in the community. Good work, Max!
•There’s still room for more to contribute to the Rotary Foundation – we need about 12-15 more to make us a 100% club. Thanks in advance…

Hope everybody had a nice Easter weekend. See you Friday.

Joe
