•The Cardinals won Opening Day at Home…ask Mark Palmer about it as he was there!
•Check for $1,000 in memory of former South Charter Member Jim Spieler has been sent to RI. In addition to helping found our club, Jim was a Charter Member of Metro & was an exemplary Rotarian.
•Thanks to members who answered the call for Rotary Foundation support last Friday. We can get to 100% participation in Foundation giving and NOBODY wants to be the one that keeps us from that goal! Please see Bill Kollars or me next Friday to help us achieve the goal of 100% all-in.
•President-elect Curt has been recruiting members for important committee work for 2014-15 and affirmative responses are gratifying. We’re always told to not say NO to Rotary and so it goes with our club. On Curt’s behalf, thanks!
•The Georgia Infant Resuscitation grant application is nearly finished and our efforts and those of other clubs in the district raised well over $100,000, including matching funds from the district and RI. Great job, all!
•We will NOT begin at 7:10 am this week. Thanks to all for arriving early last Friday so we could have good socializing/fellowship time and still fit in an ambitious agenda for the day.
•Remember to save the date of June 19th for Rotary South’s 25th anniversary celebration!
