May 7 for Dedication Ceremony
Consider attending the May 7th Dedication Ceremony. Not only will there be an opportunity to see first hand how the equipment will meet the need your club selected, but they can also have some on hands on service in completing the project.
Below is an outline of the schedule for the day which also shows a list of the tasks still needing to be completed, along with the approximate number of Rotarians needed to complete each task. See 9:00 –noon: Work Group Section. Please plan to come to celebrate and put the finishing touches in the project.
Send your RVSP including the number of folks for lunch and if they want to participate in the projects to David Nivens
8:30 – 9:00 AM: arrival with coffee and snacks
9:00 – noon: Work Groups:
Spreading mulch – ~ 10 workers needed, additional pitch forks, shovels and garden rakes would be beneficial.
Installing dedication signs – 4 workers, tools on hand
Working front flower bed and planting – 10 workers, additional flower bed prep and planting tools would be beneficial.
Fence installation along tree house and waterfront – 7 to 10 workers needed
Paint Gates 2 – 4 workers tools on hand
Move leaves and sticks throughout grounds – unlimited opportunities
Daybreak Rotary members decorate the tables in Miller Hall for lunch
11:30 – noon: clean up and get ready for Picnic in the Park
Noon – 1:15 PM: Lunch and socializing
1:15 – 1:25 PM: Jill Wilke speech
1:25 – 1:30 PM: Cory Polk speech
1:30 – 2:00 PM: Ribbon cutting and Rotary speakers (DG and PDG Jerry Franklin)
2:00 – 3:00 PM: Open element(s) and camp tours
