Good Morning to all!

We had a very interesting, and entertaining, presentation from MU Chief of Police Doug Schwandt. We will have to invite him back for more stories when there is no press in the room – I’m looking at you Curtis Varns!

I’m looking forward to hearing from our own Andrew Grabau this week about the great things that are happening with the Heart of Missouri United Way.

Our board meeting will be held this Friday directly following our regular meeting. Board agenda will be sent prior to the meeting, let me know if there is anything you would like on the agenda.

I have heard from a very reliable source that the turtles have taken the lead on poinsettia sales. I will be honest, I need to get out and start selling. I challenge everyone to try and sell at least 10 plants this season!

Snow days and Rotary meetings – It’s that time of year so I would like to let you know our policy on weather and our meetings. The board voted at our October 11 meeting on the following guidelines:  If Columbia Public School has cancelled classes OR will be having a delayed start – the club will NOT meet. Most of the time these decisions are made the night before or early in the morning and are announced on the news.

We will be back in our regular meeting room on the event center side this week.

Saturday November 9 – District Fall Connection at the University of Central Missouri celebrating the Rotary Foundation, accomplishments of the past year and activities going on this year throughout the District.

Tuesday November 26- All Rotary Thanksgiving Luncheon

Friday November 29 – No club meeting

See you on Friday – Amy
