To my Rotary Family,
I want to give a big shout out to Dell Epperson, Eric Lorenz, Beth Thompson and her husband, BJ Hunter and his son, Becca Nowlin and her son, and Shruti and the other Interact students that volunteered to remove trash with Missouri River Relief Cooper’s Landing Clean Up. It was a great event and although the event was scaled back in number of volunteers, that did not stop folks from completing the mission of removing and recycling trash from the MO River Banks. The event was very organized and professionally coordinated and MRR made sure to recognize Columbia South as a proud sponsor. Please see the news article in the Missourian. With October coming to a close, the Club has many things to be proud of for accomplishing this month. We participated in our DSG project with Missouri River Relief, kicked off our poinsettia fundraising campaign, supported the Vuyruru Rotary Club in India through a global grant to purchase an operation microscope for an eye hospital and raised money for PolioPlus awareness. Our club continues to amaze me with how we join together to do good for our local and global community. I just want to say thank you to everyone! Now let’s get ready for the Holiday Season.
Have a great weekend and stay warm!!!
And how about our Mizzou Tigers, M-I-Z Z-O-U!
See you all Friday,
Yours in Rotary Service,
